Bat for Lashes...

I've come across this band, (well not really a band but whatever!) I've come across Bat For Lashes, lead singer Natasha Khan... She reminds me of Lily Allen and Björk but 10 times better! I advise you to buy her albums, if you like that peaceful, ghostly, mellow sound.... I always play her songs when I'm driving at night, it just gives me a certain vibe, it really calms me down especially when I have road rage.... 

I came across a cover she did for Kings of Leon's Use Somebody (one of my fav bands :P)...

Half Term...

It's the first week of half term and I haven't done JACK NOODLE!!!! 

I have caught on much needed sleep, but I haven't treated my home as a hotel yet.... what I mean by that is, I haven't walked through the front door as much as I thought I would have. It's so boring.

I've just finished tidying up my room, started jamming and listening to some songs on my ipod, blasted as loud as I can but low enough for my mum to not knock on my bedroom door! :)

Maybe it's a good thing that I haven't been out much yet, since I haven't got a lot of money at the moment, I've been waiting for my next pay since the day after I got paid last month. I've already admitted I'm a shopaholic, seriously, I go out looking for something to by even if i don't need it, there's things you don't need and there's things YOU DON'T NEED!!! I can't help it....

I know there's probably things that you can do without spending money, like chilling in the park or skateboarding, but I'm dark skinned, I don't need a tan or anything! And I can't be asked. LOL!!! 

There are 3 films I want to go and see at the moment: 17 again, Fast and Furious, Knowing, but going to the cinema costs money and I need to manage what I have left in my account, I don't dare to take it out because if there's money in my purse it HAS to be spent....

I was on a diet before the half term started but that all collapsed the monday I didn't go to uni.... knowing that's it's half term and you can wake up whenever just adds to you gaining wait.... I tend to wake up after 12pm or later if I come 6.30am which has happened a lot since we broke up from university, so then from me waking up late, I eat late and if I'm not out and about, I'm on the couch watching tv or laying in my room reading a magazine listening to some music or blogging! No movement needed unless getting up to walk to the kitchen for a drink or something else to stuff my mouth with! It's terrible.... 

I've also added some more channels to my sky box, which doesn't help me at all..... and I have essays due in soon. 

I don't think this half term is going to be as fun as I wanted it to be but oh well, the sun's not out today and it GOOD FRIDAY!!!! I don't even feel like going out anymore... just got a text from my bf saying I can stay round tonight if I want.... let's see if i go....?

I doubt it! ...

Half term used to be so fun back in the day, now it's time to catch up on sleep..... Dead!

Kings of Leon - Cold Desert

Now, everyone that knows me, knows that I am absolutely loving Kings of Leon's new album - Only by the Night... if you haven't bought already you better do!!!! 

Now I've joined their fan club and tried  to buy tickets to their gigs in London but they are all sold out! All three of them!! Someone help me please...

Anyway, at this moment in time, I'm watching these home videos of them back home! It's on the website Kingsofleon.com 23 videos in 23 days. Some of them are really funny to me but this one really got me because Caleb is talking about a track on the album called 'Cold Desert' one of my favs, when i first heard the verse that said 'Jesus Don't Love Me' it really threw me off but after hearing what Caleb had to say about it and how it happened made me really think about how deep feelings and emotions can arise when you drunk or really upset. You know, like when you have a really heated argument with someone and the one thing, that feeling or thought that you had, that has been burning inside you for ages, you didn't want to admit or want to be reveled is said to that someone! That situation is what came in my mind while I was watching this video clip. When you listen to the song, you can actually feel the emotion...

New Music by the Neptunes

The Neptunes have a produced a track for Lil Wayne! Yes is the name of the track. I'm listening to it as I'm writing.... It's crazy amazing! I found it on concreteloop.com (love that blog!!). The track will just make you want to break your neck or just bop ya headz! Either way you'll be moving something! The beat reminds me of something Young L from The Pack would produce but not a simple when it comes to the instruments that The Neptunes used. Apparently, it took Pharrell 3 mins to produce... IT's PHARRELL MAYNE!!!! So I'm Loving it at the moment... I'm feeling Pharrell's flow in this one...

T-mobile G1 or Blackberry.... Which one should I get?

I've currently to the sidekick slide, but because t-mobile are no longer selling sidekicks, i have to find another phone... It was out of the T-mobile G1 (these are replacing my sidekicks!), Blackberry Bold or Storm?

Mattel - Ucreate

Mattel are releasing toys called Ucreate, aimed at children from 6 onwards... but i would still like to purchase one or two...


I love me some toys....

The Ucreate Music can record samples, mix and match loops and use an assortment of rifts, instruments, runs and backbeats to create new music tracks. Creations can be shared with friends on Ucreate Music's website. Unless you count holding the recording mic near a speaker, there seems to be no way to actually mix current pop songs on this. Probably a good thing—the less your six-year-old knows about the RIAA the better. It'll be available for $40 in Fall.

Ucreate Games is kind of an fusion between a notebook and basic videogame making software. Kids draw their designs on the tablet (notebook) and then use a library of game components, sound effects and what not to turn them into their own games. The package includes a drawing table, folding camera, USB connection, software, dry erase drawing supplies and a game template booklet. Also out in Fall, but for $60.

The price is ok, $60 will come up around £30... cool enough..
